Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy is a magical experience and one of life’s most demanding experiences for a woman. There is no better time to help relieve the stress and strains by treating yourself to a relaxing and rejuvenating massage.

BlossomingThe major changes in your body’s shape and function during pregnancy and the birthing process (weight increase, hormonal changes, postural and breathing adjustments) can cause dramatic and often uncomfortable side effects to your body. Massage can be vital in counterbalancing these effects. Read about the differences between a sports massage and pregnancy massage here.

Postnatal massage is essential to help alleviate aches and pains, address any minor postural changes and relieve pain or discomfort that occurs during and after pregnancy. The remedial aspect of massage can also help re-correct any long-term muscular imbalances that may lead to problems in the future, such as those experienced with your positioning during breastfeeding.

Once you have given birth you are welcome to bring your baby with you to your treatment or we can do home visits if that is more convenient.

Please note that it is only possible to massage pregnant clients in their second and third trimester after a thorough consultation. Advice from a Health Care Professional may be required before the start of treatment. Please call Lynne on 07985 251185 if you have any questions.
